Bin it? No way!

Bring your broken household items to Kirkby Stephen Repair Cafe, in association with Kirkby Stephen and Upper Eden Good Neighbours Scheme. It’s so much better to fix things if possible, rather than chuck them out and buy replacements. If you’ve got something that needs fixing, bring it along!

There are no promises and no guarantees, but if something can be saved the repairers will give it their best efforts. Repairers are always keen to teach you how to do the repair – or at least have you watch while they do it. Repair Cafes are run by volunteers, there is no charge for entry or repair but donations are gratefully received.

Teas, coffees and yummy cakes available!

We are also looking for volunteers to help staff the Repair Cafe, if you have time, skills or tools then email kate@kirkbystephencommunityarts.co.uk or call 017683 71885.

In partnership with Kirkby Stephen and Upper Eden Good Neighbours Scheme.
With support from Kirkby Stephen Town Council, Augill Castle, JT Atkinsons, Coloured Threads and Mic Macs.

The international Repair Cafe movement kicked off in Amsterdam and now there are over a thousand Repair Cafes around the world covering most continents. For more information visit https://repaircafe.org/en/
